The proof is underfoot
Anyone can paint lines on a slab. We built LBF for players who feel the difference between a premium surface and a budget one, in their knees, their footwork, and their game.
Two premium foundations. One pro-grade topcoat.
Every reservable court finishes with Laykold Masters Topcoat, the acrylic system used on professional stages. What sits underneath is what makes us unusual: real cushioning, so you get proper give underfoot instead of the dead thud of paint on concrete.
Acrylic over converted hardwood
- 1Basketball hardwood sanded for adhesion
- 2PU primer + sealer coat
- 3Two Laykold Masters filler coats
- 4Two coats Laykold Masters Topcoat
The wood subfloor provides natural mechanical cushioning, the give you only find in high-end indoor athletic facilities.
5 mm cushioned mat over concrete
- 1Concrete shot-blasted to CSP 3 profile
- 25 mm mats rolled, relaxed 24 hrs, adhered
- 3Bond Kote + two Laykold filler coats
- 4Two coats Laykold Masters Topcoat
The engineered mat is the shock-absorbing layer that replaces what wood does naturally. Joint-friendly for knees, hips, and lower backs.
Same finish, same booking rate. Both systems feel premium underfoot and book at the same price. The two cushioned concrete courts are typically reserved for finals and championships. Earning your way there means a spot on the softest surface in the building.
You know that feeling when there’s a wall behind you?
At budget venues you back off a lob because you’ll hit the wall, and your partner can’t chase an ATP without slamming into a curtain. We built LBF specifically so that doesn’t happen.
- 8-foot buffer behind every baseline
- 5-foot buffer on each sideline
- 4-ft black powder-coated perimeter fencing
What you actually feel

Book a court and play on a real cushioned surface. Your knees will thank you.
